Based upon a photo taken 1927 of Smethwick Locks. The buildings around the canals of the Black Country may have changed, but the canals themselves have not. You can stand in a place like this today and look for the clues around the canal to read the history of the past. Taken between Bridge St and Brass House Lane. A high quality reproduction of an original pastel painting.
